  • Kenya Weather

    When to go to Kenya

The main tourist season is in Kenya is in January and February, when the weather is at its hottest and driest. During this period, the animals in the wildlife parks tend to assemble more around the rivers and streams making them more easily visible. As expected during the hot and dry season the parks can get crowded and accommodation is much more.

From June to October, the annual famous wildebeest migration occurs and draws thousands of animals plunging into the Masai Mara National Reserve from the Serengeti. It definitely is a spectacular sight to see!
Low season in Kenya takes places unsurprisingly during the rainy season which takes place from March to end of May. During this time it is much harder to spot wildlife and also it is rife with mosquitoes!
